Preston Lea (1841-1916) — of New Castle, New Castle County, Del. Born in Wilmington, New Castle County, Del., November 12, 1841. Father-in-law of Sheffield Phelps. Republican. Governor of Delaware, 1905-09; delegate to Republican National Convention from Delaware, 1908. Quaker. Died in New Castle, New Castle County, Del., December 4, 1916. Interment at Wilmington and Brandywine Cemetery.

"Alice Moore Lea" who was born on November 09, 1876 in Wilmington, De. She married William Corbit Spruance. They had three children. She died on August 26, 1967 in Wilmington, De.
"Ethel Mildred Lea" who was born on February 14, 1882. Ethel married a man named Campbell and had a daughter named Mary Price Campbell (born August 1909)
* He married 2nd to "Eliza Naudain Corbit" on Apr. 29, 1897. She was born December 4, 1838 in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of Charles & Louisa A. (Naudain) Corbit. She died on October 31, 1945 in Wilmington, De.

"Louise Corbit Lea" born August 03, 1898. She married Peter Jennings Nowland on June 3, 1922. She died on June 23, 1989
* "Governor Lea" died on December 4, 1916, New Castle, De., at the age of 75 and was interred in the Wilmington & Brandywine Cemetery, Wilmington, De.
