Jacob Broom (1752-1810) — of Delaware. Born in 1752. Father of James Madison Broom; grandfather of Jacob Broom (1808-1864). Member of Delaware state legislature, 1784-88; member, U.S. Constitutional Convention, 1787. Lutheran. Member, Freemasons. Died April 25, 1810. Interment at Christ Church Burial Ground.
