McALISTERVILLE - Virginia M. "Mary" Losch, 78, of McAlisterville, died Friday, December 2, 2005 at her home.

She was born January 10, 1927 in Fayette Twp., Juniata County, a daughter of the late Frank B. and Amelia E. (Varner) Hepner.

Her husband, Donald V. Losch, whom she married on October 20, 1945, preceded her in death on August 20, 2002.

She is survived by 4 sons, Robert C. Losch of R.R. #1 McAlisterville, Roger K. Losch of Lewistown, Lawrence D."Dean" Losch and wife Sue of Lewistown and Barry E. Losch and Mary J. Renn of Port Treverton; 4 brothers, Norman Hepner of R.R. #2 McAlister-ville, Raymond Hepner of Richfield, Harvey Hepner of Mifflintown and Emory Hepner of Belleville; 2 sisters, Vera Smith of Mifflintown and Ruby Price of R.R. #2 McAlisterville; 5 grandchildren, Suzanne Zeiders and husband, Matt, Nikki Dressler and husband, Tom, Tammy Miller and husband, Derek, Lisa D. Losch, Jennifer Losch-Renn; and 4 great grandchildren, Brandon Losch, K.D. Miller, Kole Miller and Alexis Miller. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Timothy V. Losch on June 12, 1992 and Allen D. Losch, in infancy, and 1 grandson, Jason N. Losch.

She was a homemaker, who was also employed at the McAlisterville Cannery, the Liverpool Shirt Factory and the East Salem Shirt Factory. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, R.R. #1 Richfield and had been attending the Lost Creek Presbyterian Church, McAlisterville. She was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 925, Millerstown and the McAlisterville Senior Citizens Center. She enjoyed doing embroidery.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 5, 2005, from the Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 16 Westfall Street, McAlisterville, with the Rev. Graham C. Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in the Faith Lutheran Cemetery, R.R. #1 Richfield. Viewing will be held Sunday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., at the funeral home, where family will be present from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.
