Notes for Townsend Webster CLOUD

Townsend Webster 'TW' Cloud of Nanticoke, Md. Townsend Webster "TW" Cloud, 88, of Nanticoke, Md., passed away Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at the home, which he built and shared with his loving wife, Virginia Phillips Cloud, of 58 years. Mr. Cloud was born in Doe Run, the youngest son of the late Blaine and Edna Cloud. Following graduation from Kenneth Square High School in 1940, he proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII (1942-1945) in the European Campaign. Until his retirement in 1984, he worked as a master carpenter and remained an active member of Carpenters Union 2012 of Seaford,Del. He was a lifetime cattle farmer, raising cattle for the past 50 years on his farm and a member of the Cattleman's Association. He was a regular attendee of the Nanticoke United Methodist Church. Mr. Cloud is survived by his wife Virginia and two daughters, Carolyn McCormack (Frank) of Pasedena, Md. and Marilyn Adkins (Jim) of Mardela Springs, Md.; four grandchildren, Capt. Ian McCormack (Katie), Amy McCormack, James Adkins III and Christopher Adkins (Michele); a great-grandson and a step great-granddaughter. He is also survived by a sister, Roselda Cloud Heald of New Castle,Del. and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Friday, Feb. 11, at Nanticoke United Methodist Church, with interment in Turners Cemetery in Nanticoke.
