Joseph Theodore Pennock, 73
BETHANY BEACH - Joseph Theodore Pennock of Bethany Beach died of cancer in his home, Tuesday, March 3, 1998. He was 73.
Mr. Pennock was born January 17, 1925, in Kennett Square, Pa. the son of the late Herbert J. Pennock and Ester Freck.
He was an Army pilot and served in World War II. He was a graduate of the University of Delaware. He was a self-employed sales engineer for Valcon Sales Engineering Company for 24 years. He retired in 1986.
He was a member of the Fenwick Lions Club, Fenwick.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Virginia C. Pennock; three daughters, Cathy Runde of Sterling, Va., Nancy Sager of Wilmington and Lisa Rossberg of Ellicott City, Md.; a sister, Jane Collins of Kennett Square, Pa., and six grandchildren.
Service and burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions be sent to Delaware Hospice, Southern Division, North DuPont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947.
