Notes for Elisha Jr. GATCHELL

Elisha GATCHEL, Jr. was a farmer, a rope maker, a road-builder and a member of the Society of Friends (Quakers) of East Nottingham, Chester Co., PA. He was twice disowned "for muster" and serving as a soldier in 1777, and is described in Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) records as a "patriotic Quaker".
