Daniel S. Mahoney, 79 Of Folsom Daniel S. Mahoney, 79, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Taylor Hospital. Daniel was the loving husband of 52 years to Dorothy M. (nee Farnsworth) Mahoney. Daniel was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church in Swarthmore and he attended daily morning Mass. He also was the first Eucharistic Minister for St George R.C. Church in Glenolden. He was a big fan of Notre Dame football and a member of the Ridley YMCA. Daniel was a great father and friend to his children and grandchildren and was a man of principle and a true gentleman. Survivors: Children Donna Olshefski of Glenolden, Kathleen Middleton of Morton, Daniel Mahoney of Quarryville and James Mahoney of Glenolden; sons and daughters-in-law John Olshefski, Paul Middleton Sr., Marcy Mahoney and Donna Mahoney; 9 grandchildren - Amy, Elizabeth, Paul Jr., Jennifer, Annmarie, Daniel, Christina, Grace and Garrett; 1` sister Francis Joos of Ridley Park. Visitation: Relatives and friends are invited to Daniel's Life Celebration Friday 7 to 9 PM at James F. Knoetgen of Morton, 746 Kedron Ave and Saturday, July 30, 2011 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church, Michigan Ave & Fairview Rd, Swarthmore, PA 19081. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment: Saint Denis Cemetery in Havertown. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Daniel's memory to Notre Dame de Lourdes R.C. Church, Michigan Ave. & Fairview Rd., Swarthmore, PA 19081.
