Notes for Robert L. ELLIOTT

Robert L. Elliott, 90, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Thursday November 10, 2016. Born July 5, 1926, he was the son of the late Vincent T. Elliott, Sr. and Margaret Smith Elliott. He served in the U.S. Army in WW II and was a member of the OSS stationed in China and Washington, DC. Bob made his career with the DuPont Co. and retired in 1985 as area supervisor at the DuPont Experimental Station. He was formerly a Professional Engineer.

He was a member of St. Elizabeth's Church and worked on school and church projects with Father Grant and Sister Mary Ellen, as well as Christmas Bazaar functions. Bob enjoyed family get-togethers and especially going to his beach house in Rehoboth.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased in death by his first wife Elizabeth in 2004, and his brothers Vincent, Donald and Laurence.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadette Elliott; daughter Karen Elliott, step-daughter Diane and her husband Dave Farrell; step-granddaughter Angelina Feher and her daughter Serina; sister Carol Melchior and husband Fred; brother Raymond Elliott and wife Sandy and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday November 17 from 10:30-11:45am at St. Elizabeth's Church, 809 S. Broom St. Wilmington 19805. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:00. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to St. Elizabeth's Church. To send messages of condolence visit www.mccreryandharra.com
