Notes for Ernest HIBBERD

Ernest Hibberd, Media real estate and insurance man, died suddenly at 2 a.m. today in a hunting cabin near Jersey Shore, Pa., following a heart attack. He was 55.

Mr. Hibberd had been deer hunting in Lycoming County with a party of friends including Paul L. Clark, Media borough secretary; Henry Gehris, Edward Russell and Stanley Hibberd Jr., a nephew. The party had left Media Sunday and expected to return tomorrow.

Born in Chester Heights, Mr. Hibberd was a resident of Media for 46 years. With his brother Stanley T., and nephew, he was a member of the firm of Hibberd Brothers, 216 W. State St., Media.

He was a member of Media Presbyterian Church, Media Businessmen's Association; Isaac Walton Club, Camp and Trail Club and Delaware County Rod and Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Hibberd; two sons, Hays A. and William F., a daughter, Judith I., and his mother, Mrs. Adele V. Hibberd.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Patterson funeral home, Baltimore and Monroe. Friends may call Thursday evening. Interment will be private in the Haverford friends burial ground.
