Helen M. Bringhurst Walters, 71, of Brookfield Circle, Macungie, formerly of Silo Lane, East Greenville, and Dotts Street, Pennsburg, died Sunday, Oct. 19, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township. She was the wife of Robert L. Walters, to whom she was married 37 years last December, and the late Raymond Bringhurst.
She worked in the housekeeping, kitchen and SPD departments at Grand View Hospital for more than 20 years, retiring in 1993.
Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of Cecelia T. (Lyons) Bradley of Pennsburg and the late Thomas Bradley.
She was a Cub Scout den mother for St. Philip Neri Troop 591 and a member of the Pennsburg Fire Company Auxiliary.
Survivors: Husband and mother; sons, Raymond Bringhurst of Coopersburg, John Bringhurst of Alburtis, Robert B. Walters of Macungie and Thomas F. Walters of Quakertown; daughters, Carol Bringhurst, Betsy, wife of David Eckhardt, and Barbara Kline, all of Macungie, and eight grandchildren.
Memorial services: 7 p.m. Thursday, Mann Funeral Home, 222 Washington St., East Greenville. Call 6-7 p.m. Thursday.
