Notes for Charles F. Jr. COMER

Charles "Skip" F. Comer, Jr., age 70, of Wilmington, DE, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 26, 2009.

Skip was a member at Parkview Assembly of God. His love for the Lord was evident through his giving of himself to others. Skip was employed as an iron worker with Local 451 for over 25 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and his heart was full of love for his grandchildren.

Skip is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Claire; daughters, Pixie Bramlett and husband Vic, Pamie Farley and husband Vern; sons, Gregg Hill and wife Nancy, Kevin Hill and wife Laura; brother, Bill Comer; sister, Thelma Gabbert; 6 grandchildren: Amber, Ashley, Tara, Heather, Brandon, and Sarah; 4 great grandchildren: Ariana, Alex, Austin and Alyssa; and a host of loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gladys Comer, Sr.; and sister, Judy Poore.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2009 in the Strano & Feeley Family Funeral Home, 635 Churchmans Road, Newark, DE 19702 from 6-9 pm and again on Monday, August 31st in Parkview Assembly of God, 235 Polly Drummond Hill Road, Newark, DE from 9:30-11 am. A service in celebration of Skip's life will begin at 11 am followed by burial in Gracelawn Memorial Park in New Castle.
