Notes for William LEWIS

Son of Thomas Lewis. Thomas's father came to the US with one of the Carrolls of Maryland as an indentured gardener.

William supposedly worked as a master carpenter for the Carroll Estate. Specializing in spiral staircases.

William was also supposedly part of Meades Army, Under Isaiah Price in the Civil War.

Was a member of the firm "Lewis & Burns" building contractors.
