Notes for Hulda Ann MOORE

Passing of a Pioneer
Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kate Lindsey, at Hazel Valley, occurred the death of Mrs. Hulda Rogers of Dropsey. She was one of the pioneer women of this country, and was 85 years of age. She and her husband Joseph Rogers came from Pennsylvania in the 50's. They settled on a piece of land this side of Johns Creek. After Mr. Rogers died, she lived among her children, and for the past ten years she has been living with her son, Harry, orth of St. Paul, Minn. For the past few years her health has been failing and her desire was to get back to Iowa again, where, as she expressed it, to die and be buried along side of her husband. To assist in carrying out her wish, Mrs. Lindsey went after her about a month ago and brought her back.

Of her children living are Mrs. Lindsey, of Johns Creek, and a daughter in Montana (Rhoda Elma) and her son, Harry, (Henry Joseph) of Centerville, Minn.
