William H. Cloud, Jr., age 94 of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.
William was a 1939 graduate of P.S. duPont high school; attended Drexel University for 2 years and then Widener University for 1 year. He was manager in the Engineering and Services Section of the Thiokol Rocket Propulsion Corp., in Elkton, MD. He also worked for the Wilmington Blueprint Co., Wilmington, DE.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a 20 year member of the Boy Scouts of America, a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
William is predeceased by his wife, Reba Taylor Cloud and his sons; Dr. William H. Cloud, III and John Taylor Cloud. He is survived by Mrs. Susanna Bellafante-Cloud, St. Petersburg, FL; Mrs. Candace Szesny Cloud, Grandchildren; Craig, Charles, Matthew, Andrew, Juliann and Jeanette, all of Springfield, Missouri; William H. Cloud IV and Kristen A. Rowe of Vancouver, Washington, sisters; Elizabeth Manchester and Geraldine Tomlinson of Wilmington, DE.
