Notes for Elizabeth PORTER
Elizabeth Porter Hutton of Freedom Village, Coatesville, PA, formerly of Hershey’s Mill, West Chester and Wayne, PA died on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Milton J. and Edna L. Porter of Wayne. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, William Paxson Hutton and her brothers, Dr. Edgar Lee Porter of Wayne and Robert Lee Porter, of Naples, FL, retired attorney from Wayne. Betty leaves behind twin stepdaughters, Carlotta Paxson Hutton of Ardmore, PA and Pamela Hutton Bentz of Bryn Mawr, PA, in addition to nieces, Barbara (Mrs. Walter) Janssen of Colorado Springs, CO, Joan (Mrs. Peter) Sanderson of Seal Beach, CA and Ann (Mrs. Frank) Pietrazik of Gettysburg, PA as well as several nieces and nephews. For years, Betty volunteered at The Trading Post in Paoli and upon retirement, was recognized for her many years of service. She enjoyed being a housewife and spending time in the Poconos and Sarasota, FL with her husband, Bill. She loved knitting and crocheting and was an accomplished bridge player. There will be a private graveside service and interment will be at Washington Memorial Chapel at Valley Forge. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to “Bryn Mawr Hospital Foundation”, c/o Amber Grier, 130 N.
