Elizabeth Sharpless Mendenhall married George Bogle, the son of James and Mary Ann (Simpson) Bogle, on October 14, 1858 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. George and Elizabeth (Mendenhall) Bogle had five children: Sarah Mendenhall Bogle, Mary Ann Bogle, Elizabeth Thomas Bogle, George Bogle, and Jean Hyland Bogle. George Bogle was a lumber merchant and later President of Columbia National Bank.
