Notes for Mary E. GIBASON
Mary E. Cheeseman, age 86, of New Castle, DE passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 28, 2016.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware on August 26, 1929, Mary was a daughter of the late George A. Gibason and Mary J. (McBride) Gibason.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Cheeseman in 1979, two sisters, and one brother. Mary is survived by her daughter, Margaret Linn; 2 granddaughters, Kate Maxwell (Lachlan) and Emily Linn, 2 great granddaughters, Annalivia and Nora; and a dear devoted niece, Tootie Springer. Mary loved spending time in Lewes, DE with friends and family each summer. She was the matriarch to a very small and tight-knit family, and she will be missed dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 5, 2016, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home of Wilmington Manor, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE, where a visitation will be held from noon until 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, DE.
