Notes for Jane A. SMEDLEY
AUBURN | Jane Thorn, 94, of the Cayuga County Nursing Home, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2012.
Mrs. Thorn was born in Narberth, Pa., on Feb. 23, 1918. She was the daughter of the late Elwood and Hazel Ward Quimby. Jane spent her early years in Pennsylvania. She was a member of the Union Methodist Church in Pennsylvania and active in many of their church activities.
She is survived by her family, her son, Paul Thorn Sr., of Jordan; her beloved grandchildren, Paul Thorn, Sandy Ternosky, David and Jon Thorn, Edward Jr. and Jennifer Thorn, many great-grandchildren; and her sister, Debora Albright of Pennsylvania. Jane was predeceased by her husband, A. Boyd Thorn Jr. and her son, Edward Thorn.
A memorial service for Jane will be held (please note change of date) at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28 at the White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport.
