Notes for E. Louise HOSTELLEY

E. Louise Lukens, 75, a lifetime North Wales resident, passed away Dec. 7, 2007 in Kindred Hospital in Philadelphia, following a long illness. She was the wife of William E. Lukens, Jr. and they observed their 53rd wedding anniversary in February.

Born in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Esther (Smith) Hostelley and graduated from the former North Wales High School.

During her younger years, Mrs. Lukens worked as an inspector at Hunter Spring in Hatfield and later as manager of the catalog department at the J.C. Penney Co., Inc. Department Store.

She enjoyed activities with her family including visits to the New Jersey shore. She also loved to cook and play bingo.

Surviving, in addition to her husband are four children, William K. Lukens of Quakertown, Linda L. Asbury and her husband, Darrel, of Sellersville, Robert N. Lukens and his wife, Gretchen, of Harleysville and David M. Lukens and his wife, Debra, of Lansdale; seven grandchildren, Darrel, Jr., Patrick, James, Dean, Rebecca, Melissa and Steven; a great-granddaughter, Megan; and two sisters, Anna Mae Bishop and her husband, Merrill, of Harleysville and Ruth DeWolfe of Telford.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald A. Hostelley. Relatives and friends may greet the family Monday, December 10, after 6:30 PM in the Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, Lansdale, and are invited to attend her funeral service at 8 PM. Interment will be private.
