Notes for Ronald K. HANBY
Ronald K. Hanby passed away on December 3, 2015.
He was born in Wilmington to Mildred and the late Clifford Hanby. Ron was a Concord High School graduate. He attended vocational school while working for M. Davis mechanical contractors. He retired from General Chemical as a welder and pipe-fitter when the plant closed. Ron was a passionate and highly skilled boater. Ron and Elaine enjoyed many, many friends who shared the marina. Ron was on his boat several days every week from early spring until late fall, even when nobody else was around. He has been a repairman and volunteer handyman for almost everyone he met. Ron was always available to help.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine Jena Hanby. Ron is survived by his mother, Mildred Hanby, and his brother, Gerry Hanby.
Visitation will be on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. at the McCrery and Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike (Rt. 202 South of Silverside Road) Wilmington, DE 19803. Interment will immediately follow the visitation at the Chester Bethel Cemetery, exactly 17 years after the burial of his father. There will be a Memorial Service held in January.
