Notes for Cyrus D. ELLIOTT

Cyrus D. Elliott, 66, a retired blacksmith, of 57 Union St. Hillsdale, died Tuesday evening at the Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. He had lived in Hillsdale for the past five and one half years, moving here from Reading. Prior to his last Michigan residence, he had lived in New York State for 20 years.

He was born in Amboy Township, Hillsdale County July 20, 1901, the son of Bert and Ruth Lown Elliott.

On November 10, 1952, he married Ruth MacKenzie. She survives as do two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Ruth) Eagle of Hillsdale and Mrs. Norma Woodbeck of Millerton, NY; three sons, Cyrus Jr. and Ward of Hillsdale and Morgan of Esperance, NY.; five sisters, Mrs. Dale (Nellie) Esterline and Mrs. Basil (Rachel) Kuhn of Cambria, Mrs. Bertie (Violet) Day of Waldron, Mrs. Florentine Clark of Hillsdale and Mrs. Lester (Grace) Barrington of Rte. 1 Camden; one brother Orval of Ellington, N.Y.; five step children; 25 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 3 at the Van Horn Funeral Home in Hillsdale.

The Rev. Paul Schoun will officiate and burial will be in the Hagaman Cemetery in Amboy township.
