Notes for James Edwin WEBB

James E. Webb, 31, of Upper Chichester Township, executive chef and owner of the General Wayne Inn, died Dec. 27 at the restaurant. Born in Ridley Park, Mr. Webb lived in Aston Township most of his life before moving to Upper Chichester five years ago. He graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1984 and served an apprenticeship with Miguel Olaya at The Baron's Inne in King of Prussia and Conestoga Mills in Bryn Mawr. Mr. Webb was a renowned chef for the American Bistro in Morton, which he also owned. He became executive chef and owner of the General Wayne Inn in Merion Station in October 1995. He was a member of St. Timothy's Lutheran Church in Aston. Surviving are his wife of 10 years, Robin Filiaggi Webb; a son, Kevin James Webb at home; a daughter, Ashley Robin Webb at home; his parents, Thomas Webb and Theresa Yaglenski Webb of Aston; a brother, Thomas Webb of Springfield; and a sister, Patti Ann Scull of Brookhaven. He also was brother of the late Michael Webb, who died in 1987. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, Lamp Post Lane and Pennell Road, Aston. Burial is in Mount Hope Cemetery, Aston.
