Notes for Joan NICKLE
Joan Nickle Boyle, 62, a Lower Chichester resident and retired Garnet Valley School District custodian who loved to play bingo, died March 18 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.
Born in Wilmington, Del., Mrs. Boyle was a resident of Lower Chichester's Linwood section for 30 years. She graduated from Brown Vocational High School, Wilmington, Del.
She retired from her custodian position with Garnet Valley in 1994 after 26 years of service.
Mrs. Boyle was the daughter of the late Oliver Nickle and the sister of the late John Nickle and Ruth Pettee.
Survivors: Husband of 40 years, David W. Boyle son, David W. Boyle Jr. at home mother, Mary Webster Kavanaugh of Wilmington, Del. brother, Oliver Nickle of Virginia sisters, Mary Casseday of Lewes, Del., Mildred McClure of Marcus Hook.
Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, Kaniefski-Kendus-D'Anjolell Memorial Home, 3900 W. Ninth St., Trainer.
Visitation: 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial: Chester Bethel Cemetery, Foulk Road, Wilmington, Del.
