Notes for Gertrude Davis GARRIGUES

Gertrude D. Garrigues Croasdale, 80, a former social worker who had lived in Spring Mount and then Schwenksville in Montgomery County, died Monday at the Montgomery County Geriatric and Rehabilitation Center in Royersford.
For several years, she was a social worker for the Montgomery County Rape Crisis Center in Norristown.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Montgomery County, Mrs. Croasdale was a graduate of Upper Merion High School.
She lived in Spring Mount and then Schwenksville for many years before she entered the geriatric center in 1995.
Mrs. Croasdale was a member of Schuylkill Friends Meeting in Phoenixville and had been a representative to Friends Yearly Meeting in Philadelphia.
Also a homemaker, for many years she was the wife of Lawrence J. Croasdale, who died in 1984.
She is survived by children, Linda Croasdale-Martin and Alan G.; a sister; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Schuylkill Friends Meeting, Route 23 and White Horse Road in Schuylkill Township, Chester County. Burial will be private in the meetinghouse cemetery.
The family suggests contributions to Schuylkill Friends Meeting, Route 23 and White Horse Road, Phoenixville, Pa. 19460.
