James A. Peck, 99, of State College died Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at Anthony House at Foxdale Village.
Born Dec. 8, 1900, in Cochranville, he was a son of the late Newton Wilbert and Lucy Chambers Peck. On Nov. 10, 1931, he married Helen Burr, who survives at Foxdale Village.
He attended Coatesville High School.
During World War I he was a radioman third class with the Navy.
For 33 years, he was a powerhouse engineer for Atlantic Refining Co. in Philadelphia, retiring in 1964.
He was a member of State College Christian Church and the Masonic lodge in Havertown.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Alta Perks of State College, and two grandchildren.
Private visitation and services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Glen Run Cemetery, Atglen.
