Notes for John Olmsted PHILIPS

The Seattle Times Tuesday, July 29, 1964 John Philips, Real Estate Man, Dies John O. Philips, 62, long time Seattle real estate appraiser and resident here 50 years, died yesterday of a lingering illness.

Mr. Philips, a native of Tacoma, resided at 1875 McGilvra Boulevard. He attended the University of Washington, where he was a member of Psi Upsilon Fraternity.

Mr. Philips was a member of the American Right of Way Association, the College Club, the Society of Residential Appraisers and the Seattle Tennis Club.

Surviving are his wife, Jane B.; a daughter, Mrs. Rodney B. Carter, Jacksonville, Florida; three brothers, James C. Philips, Oakland, California and Calvin and Richard T. Philips, both of Seattle and six grandchildren.

Private funeral services are being arranged by the Bleitz Funeral Home. The family has asked that remembrances be made to the Dean of Medicine's Cancer Research Fund at the University of Washington.
