Notes for Anne CADWALADER

ANNE CADWALADER INGERSOLL, 79, died Friday at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hospital after suffering complications from a fall about a week earlier.
She was the wife of the late John H.W. Ingersoll and lived in Pennlyn.
During World War II, she worked for the Red Cross Community Center in Ambler and served as an aircraft spotter in the Philadelphia area.
She was an art student of Juan Rohrer's at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and was a supporter of the museum.
"She resisted with considerable energy the destruction of trees, streams and open land by developers," said Henry McK. Ingersoll, a stepson.
Survivors: two daughters, Joan I. Coale and Nancy Davenport, both of Philadelphia; two stepsons, Henry McK. and Paul M. Ingersoll, both of Bryn Mawr; 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Services: 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Church of the Messiah in Gwynedd Valley; burial is private.
