Notes for Ahia Brinton Jr. REYNOLDS

A. Brinton Reynolds Jr. of Lehigh Acres, Fla., formerly of Smyrna, Del., died on Sept. 17, 2011. He was 89 years old.
Brinton was born in West Chester, Pa. on July 18, 1922, the youngest of four children.
He left his mark of generosity, friendship, and great contributions to each community he touched.
Prior to moving to Lehigh Acres in 1971, Brinton began his accounting practice on Main Street in Smyrna, Del. He was very involved in Boy Scouts of America, being awarded the highest honors permitted by the Midville District Boy Scouts.
Brinton was a Red Cross swimming instructor at Lake Como and a pilot who loved flying all types of planes. He was a Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol.
He was awarded The Outstanding Citizen Award by the Smyrna Lions Club for contributions to every corner of his community.
He believed in serving others, and was a good friend with a generous heart.
Finally settling in Florida, he acted as Comptroller of Lehigh Acres General Hospital. He then opened, owned and operated A.B. Reynolds Jr. and Associates accounting firm for over 35 years as well as Lehigh Pool Service.
Brinton loved to laugh and he loved life.
He enjoyed baseball and for 8 years hosted Ft. Myers Miracle players in his home.
His love of music had him involved for many years with the Lehigh Concert Band.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ahia Brinton Reynolds Sr. and Mary Nichols Reynolds, as well as his brother, M. Cloud Reynolds.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 33 years, Sharon Reynolds, and his children, Rebecca Markey of Lehigh, Bonnie Miller (Carl) of Murphy, N.C., Adam Dodson of Alvin, Tex., Robin Rogers (Robert) of Tampa, Fla., and Michele Dodson Alameda (Steve) of Oakland, Cal.
He is also survived by his many grandchildren, Christine Roskos (Brent), Colleen Markey, Megan Gracie, Kathleen Dodson, Cassandra Dodson, Adam R. Dodson, three great-grandchildren, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
His sense of humor and helping heart will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service was held Sept. 22 at 11 a.m., at First Community Congregational Church, 200 E. Lee land Heights Blvd., Lehigh Acres, Fla.
Following his cremation, he was interred at Lee Memorial Park, and his final resting place is in the hearts of those who loved him.
