Notes for Earl Leonard YEATMAN

Earl L. Yeatman
Age 83, of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 15, 2012 surrounded by his family.
Earl was a life-long Wilmington resident, he was born February 4, 1929 to Florence E. (Burkett) and Howard D. Yeatman. He served his country proudly in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the UAW and worked for General Motors on the assembly line for 30 years before his retirement. Previously, he worked for Electric Hose & Rubber for 29½ years. His hobbies included watching semi-pro baseball, ice skating and reading. He was also a supporter of the Salvation Army.
He was predeceased by his parents, 16 siblings, and his beloved wife, Virginia L. (Weadon) Yeatman. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth D. and Kris Barry of Ft. Collins, CO, David C. and Michele S. Barry of Odessa, DE, Glenn M. and Jenny M. Barry of Shippensburg, PA, and Earl L. and Jackie Barry of Bear, DE; and his daughter and son-in-law, Linda J. Barry-Cooper and Keith Cooper of Grand Bahama, The Bahamas. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Alison, Gregory, Melissa, Heather, David, Michael, Alex, Megan, Joshua and Renee; six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Josh, Zachary, Addison, Tysean and Taivion.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 20 at 11:30 am at Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road, Wilmington, where friends are invited to visitation after 10:30 am. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear.
