Notes for Hilda SHAFFER
Hilda Shaffer Talley of Wilmington, DE, died at the age of 87 on December 27, 2011. Born in Washington, D.C., Hilda had been a resident of the Wilmington area since early childhood.
Hilda is survived by her loving husband, Donald F. Talley, of 69 years. She is also survived by her daughter, Lana Marie Campbell, of Milford, DE; her grandson, Donald R. Campbell, of Chesapeake, VA; her granddaughter, Donna Lee Comstock, of Milford, DE; four great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; one great-great-grandson; her sister, Iva Trader, of Jennersville, PA; and three nieces, Deborah Savage, Robin Gaskill, and Patricia Shaffer Ward. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and Ernest Shaffer, and her brother Austin Shaffer.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 am on January 5, 2012 at CHANDLER FUNERAL HOME, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, DE. A committal service will be private in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE.
