Notes for Melva M. BRACKIN
Melva M. Brackin McKee of Oxford Melva M. Brackin McKee, 91, of Oxford, formerly of Kennett Square, died Sunday, June 5, 2011, at the Ware Presbyterian Village. She was the wife of the late Raymond E. McKee who died in 1995 and with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Kennett Square, she was a daughter of the late Wilson and Mary Galatha Brackin. Melva was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Church in Kennett. She worked for the Kennett Consolidated School District at New Garden Elementary for over 19 years. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jane Schoch of Kennett Square; two sisters, Theresa Hodson of Kennett Square and Mary Wayne of Downingtown; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joan M. Caputo, one sister, Kathryn Wayne, and five brothers, Anthony, Calvin, James, Eugene, and John Brackin. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home Inc. (610-444-4116), 250 W. State St., Kennett Square, PA 19348. You are invited to visit with her family from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
