"In Memory of
ELIAS YERKES
who was a worthy member
of the Baptist church of
Southampton, Bucks County, Pa
almost 61 years:
was Baptized August 10th 1783
appointed Deacon of said church
December 11th 1794
and was Senior Deacon near 50 years.
He departed this life June 21st
1844
Aged 87 years 5 months & 5 days.

Remember friends as you pass by
That all mankind are born to die,
Then let your cares on Christ be cast
That you may dwell with him at last
