Notes for Robert C. LARKIN
Robert C. Larkin 2011-03-06 Robert C. Larkin, 81, of 62 Slaymaker Hill Road, Kinzers, died at his home on Sunday, March 6, 2011. Born in Linwood, he was the son of the late John and Maude (Elliot) Larkin. He was married 61 years on Sept. 24 to Elizabeth (Zukowski) Larkin. He worked for 32 years, retiring in 1984, from Sunoco Inc, in transportation. He also served as the Upper Chichester Twp. Commissioner and Planning Commissioner. He was a member of the Republican Party, the Sun Honor Club, and the Friendship Fire House in Linwood. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and taking care of his friends, neighbors and family. He also served his country in the US Army Reserves. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, John, married to Patricia (Weary) Larkin of Waleska, GA, and Mark, married to Susan (Weller) Larkin of Paradise; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Thompson of Intercourse. Preceding him in death are three brothers, John, Douglas, and Arnold Larkin; and three sisters, Annabelle Crandall, Jereline Voshell, and Doris Fillman. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 11 am at the Groff-High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St, New Holland with the Reverend John Schmalhofer
