Notes for Evelyn E. CLOUD
Evelyn Cloud McMillan, formerly of Kennett Square Evelyn Cloud McMillan, 96, of Rehoboth Beach, Del., formerly of Kennett Square, Pa., passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011, at her daughter, Phyllis Bemis's home. She was the wife of the late James B. McMillan. Evelyn and her husband James lived at Longwood Gardens most of their lives, where he was employed for 38 years. Mrs. McMillan was employed with Pocopson Home, West Chester as a nurse's aide for 28 years. She continued volunteering at the home after she retired in 1979. She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church, Mendenhall, Pa. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Detwiler and husband, Edgar of Ocean View, Del. and Phyllis Bemis and husband, Charles of Dagsboro, Del.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise McMillan. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29 at New London Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 1986 Newark Rd., New London, PA.
