Notes for Gladys J. MARTIN
Gladys J. Martin Woodward, formerly of Chester County On November 10, 2010, 90 year old Gladys J. Martin Woodward has joined her late husband Lewis W. Woodward, who passed away August 19, 1993. Gladys lived most of her life in Pennsylvania, born in West Vincent Township; however, for the past nine years, she lived in Florida and Arizona. She worked alongside her husband for 25 years as caretaker of Hopewell Methodist Church, from which they both retired in 1986. She will be greatly missed by a sister Betty Storms; two brothers, Clarence and Robert Martin; and her children Shirley Hannum, Betty Wright, and Robert Woodward. She had nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Gladys's Life Celebration Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on December 8, at the Hopewell United Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Rd. Downingtown, PA 19335, followed by a graveside service at the Hopewell United Methodist Cemetery.
