Hayes C. Taylor, graduated from Friends Select School, Philadelphia, Pa, and also from an agricultural course at Cornell University. He operated a dairy farm in West Marlboro for over forty years, raising purebred Guernsey cattle as well as taking an active interest in local affairs. He was on the West Marlboro school board for twenty years, a director of the Unionville National Bank and
was a member of both the Doe Run Farmers Club and of the Doe Run Grange erf the Patrons of Husbandry. Like his wife he was a member of the London Grove Mtg. of the Society of Friends. He was much interested in local history and genealogy.
