Notes for Marion Hindle DUNLAP
MENDENHALL, MARION HINDLE DUNLAP - 92 of Ocean City, NJ passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at The Shores at Wesley Manor in Ocean City, NJ. She was born July 15, 1923 in Lansdowne, Delaware County, PA. Marion attended Lansdowne public schools, then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Hygiene graduating in 1942. She worked in the Ridley Park, PA school system for five years as a Dental Hygienist and Health Teacher. Marion married Ralph Ivins Mendenhall in 1944 and continued her career until the birth of her first son, then became a full time homemaker. They moved to Sea Isle City, NJ in 1987, then to the Shores at Wesley Manor in 2001. She enjoyed church activities, family history, walking the beach, swimming in the ocean, puzzles and needlework. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph Ivins Mendenhall and her sister, Ella Leete. Surviving are three sons, Walter D. Mendenhall, Edward I. Mendenhall, Henry H. Mendenhall, four grandchildren, Kimberly Austin, Sean Mendenhall, Katherine Mendenhall, and Henry's son Michael, and two great grandchildren, Xalen and Kari Austin.
