Notes for Hazen Park CHASE

SOUTH HADLEY - Hazen Park Chase, 87, of Loomis Village died Monday evening, April 11th at Holyoke Hospital Medical Center. He was born in Gardiner, Maine and moved to Holyoke at the age of two and has been a lifelong resident. He attended Holyoke schools and graduated from Taft School in Connecticut and Lehigh University in Pennsylvania. He served in WWII with the Army Air Corps and then returned to Holyoke where he ran Hazen P. Chase and Company, a manufacturers representative in the field of plastics. Over the years he was active on several charitable boards, was an active member and treasurer of the Republican City Committee, and served St. Paul's Church as Vestryman, Sr, Warden and Trustee. He leaves his loving wife of fifty-three years, the former Dorothy (Tucker) Chase. He also leaves two sons, Clayton Tucker Chase and his wife Jo-Ann of Ashburn, Virginia, and Richard Hazen Chase and his wife Cheryl of Suffield, Connecticut, and one daughter, Elizabeth Spencer Hyde and her husband John of South Hadley and nine grandchildren. He also leaves one sister, Elizabeth Chase Palamar of Irvington, Virginia and two nephews. A memorial service for friends and family will be celebrated Friday April 15 at 11:30am at St. Paul's Church, 485 Appleton St., Holyoke, followed by a luncheon with the family in the parish hall.
