Notes for Eleanor Jane REMLEY
Eleanor R. (nee Remley) Temple of Elmhurst, a former resident of Evanston, died Sept. 3 at the Lexington Square Retirement Community in Elmhurst. She was 91.
Mrs. Temple was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Evanston and a member of the Philanthropic and Education Organization for more than 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L.
Survivors include daughters Jane T. Peacock and Susan K. Minarik; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sept. 6 at Gibbons Funeral Home in Elmhurst, with interment in Anamosa Memorial Cemetery in Anamosa, Iowa.
Eleanor R. Temple (nee Remley), 91, will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 S. York Road (1/2 mile north of St. Charles Road), Elmhurst. Interment will be in Anamosa Memorial Cemetery, Anamosa, Iowa. Eleanor was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Evanston and a member of PEO for more than 50 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles L. Temple; loving mother of Jane T. Peacock and Susan K. (the late Kenneth J.) Minarik; proud grandmother of Jennifer P. (James) Discher, Melissa A. (Michael) Ricketts and Todd K. Minarik; and fond great-grandmother of Katherine Dale Discher.
