Notes for Samuel SMITH

John Linton by M. Linton, 1929, P.88-9: "This Smith family were valued Friends. Elizabeth was a beautiful character beloved by all. Samuel Smith was one of the foremost educators of his day. He had a large board school at Fallsington, Pennsylvania. Three weeks after his second marriage he was stricken with paralysis and was ever after a cripple on crutches. They moved to Philadelphia where he had a select school for teachers. In a short time he had a second stroke that caused his death."

Samuel Smith is buried at the Wrightstown Friends Cemetery
