Notes for Jean Eisenhower PALMER

Jean Eisenhower Palmer Packard, 90, of Moravian Manor, Lititz, PA formerly of Ossining, NY (1945-92), died peacefully Wednesday at her residence following a brief illness.
Born in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence R. and Esther Eisenhower Palmer.
She was the wife of the late Richard Ames Packard who died in 1997.
Jean was a graduate of Wilson College, Chambersburg and received her Masters in Social Work from University of Pennsylvania.
Jean worked at Montgomery County Children’s Aid Society until she married in 1945.
She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, PA and 1st Presbyterian Church, Ossining and was an active member in both churches, serving in numerous capacities.
Jean served in missions from 1985-89 in Sunset Gap, TN, Comer, GA, and Stony Point, NY. Surviving are 2 sons, Peter (Shelley) Packard, Accident, MD, Frederick (Linda) Packard, Denville, NJ; 2 daughters, Anne (Lee) Wiesner, Poughkeepsie, NY, Barbara (Edward) Spencer, Randolph, NJ; 6 grandchildren, Linda (Eric) Nash, Betsy (Mark) Kohl, Jennifer Packard, David Wiesen, Lauren Packard, Matthew Packard; and a great granddaughter, Brooke Elizabeth Nash.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Bailey Palmer.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jean’s Life Celebration Service from Highland Presbyterian Church, 1801 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA, 17601 on Monday, February 2, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ann Osborne officiating.
Private interment in Riverside Cemetery, Norristown, PA.
