Notes for Kathryn Ella MEREDITH
Kathryn E. Speakman, 92, of Coatesville, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, at Brandywine Hospital.
She was the wife of Vernon B. Speakman, who preceded her in death in 1991.
Born in Modena, she was the daughter of the late John M. and Mary Fickes Meredith.
Kathryn was a member of Doe Run Presbyterian Church and the Coatesville Senior Center, where she was a member of the Rambler Band.
She also enjoyed traveling and was an avid bird watcher.
Surviving her are four daughters, Sonja L. Kehler, wife of Ted, Arlene S. Houck, wife of Bob, Cynthia M. Martin, wife of Elden, and Kathryn E. Smith; a son, Vernon J. Speakman; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John W. Meredith.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, at the Harris-Mountain Funeral Home, 1030 E. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville.
Family and friends may call on Monday at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Hephzibah Baptist Cemetery, Coatesville.
