Notes for Alice Marie KEESEY

Alice M. Sharpless, 73, a lifelong resident of Glenolden passed away on December 21, 2012.
Alice was a 1958 graduate of Interboro High School, where she was an accomplished athlete in field hockey and held several scoring records for many years and also considered a candidate for the All-American Hockey Team.

She retired from the Glenolden School where she was a school aide for 39 years. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid animal lover and sports fan especially of the Eagles and Phillies. Besides the love for her family, fishing on her houseboat at the Jersey Shore and making "boat sandwiches" was one of her most loved and favorite parts of her life for over 20 years.
She was an enormous part of her grandchildrens' lives and will be dearly missed.
Predeceased by her brothers Pete Casey and John Keesey.
Survivors: Her beloved husband of 53 years William E. Sharpless Sr. Loving Children William (Patti) Sharpless Jr., Brenda M. (Ken) Pitts and Carol (Drew) Grieb.
Cherished Grandchildren Kristen and Stephanie Sharpless, Kyle and Jake Pitts and Andrew and Alison Grieb and Loving Siblings Rita (Leroy) McFalls, Dorothy White and James (Connie) Keesey.
