Irma Thelma Pearce Lafferty, 89, of Ridley Park, died Jan. 22 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Lafferty lived in Upper Darby before moving to Ridley Park, where she lived for 10 years.
A homemaker, Mrs. Lafferty formerly worked for Westinghouse Credit.
Mrs. Lafferty was a former longtime member of the Glenolden Presbyterian Church and was known as a caring and generous person who was devoted to her family.Mrs. Lafferty was the widow of John J. Lafferty, who died in 1996. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Given and Aurilla Thelma Harwick Pearce, and the sister of the late Wesley Pearce and William Pearce.
Survivors: Son, William E. Sharpless of Glenolden; daughters, Carolyn A. Henderson of Ridley Park, Joanne T. Lange of Pottstown; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
