Notes for Howard Lewis BARLOW
Howard L. Barlow, 95, of Granite Farms Estates in Middletown, died Sept. 15.
Born in Concord, Mr. Barlow graduated from Chester High School in 1933.
Mr. Barlow served as the superintendent of the Brandywine Battlefield for 15 years. He also operated his family’s dairy business and farm for 60 years.
An accomplished wood carver, Mr. Barlow enjoyed building models from scratch. He loved spending time with his grandchildren on the family farm.
He was the widower of Mary Brinton Barlow.
Survivors: Son, Alfred Lewis Barlow of Ocean View, Del.; daughter, Mary Lou Laird of West Fenwick Island, Del.,; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two nieces.
