Notes for John LINCOLN

JOHN LINCOLN, b. probably in Freehold, Monmouth Co., N. J.; removed with his father to Philadelphia Co., Pa. In 1748 was living at Caernarvon, Lancaster Co., Pa. In 1758 owned a farm in Union Township adjoining Exeter, Pa., which he sold. He then removed to Augusta Co., Va., to that part which, in 1779, was organized as Rockingham Co., Va. Here in 1768 he bought a plantation of six hundred acres. m. Rebecca MOORE.
