AUBURNDALE -- Mr. George Connell of Auburndale died Monday (Nov. 20, 2000) at Mariner Health Care in Winter Haven. He was 81.
Born in Philadelphia on March 7, 1919, he came to Auburndale from Pennsylvania in 1996. He was an electrical engineer. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Winter Haven.
He is survived by his wife, Karol Connell; daughters, Barbara Marsala, Cape May, N.J., Cheryl Gillespie, Joan Curcio and Evelyn Doeer, all of Philadelphia, and Victoria Lynn Shepard, Franklin, N.C.; son, Michael Robert Barrett, New Jersey; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
