Notes for Homer H. COOPER

Homer H. Cooper died in February 1964 at the age of 95 in New Castle, IN. He got his degree in History from Indiana Univ. He was the longest term superintendent of Spiceland Academy from 1903-1916 after previously serving in the same position at Knightstown Academy beginning in 1892 or 93. He wrote a book titled, "Right Living," published in 1914 that was a compilation of stories solicited from notable personalities of the early years of the 20th century, including Booker T. Washington and Helen Keller, et al. He had collected them over the years to share with his students. He is listed in an edition of "Who's Who in America" from that era.
