PENNOCK, NATHANIEL. West Marlborough. May 20, 1772. Codicil 6/6/1774. June 15, 1774.
Provides for wife Sarah. To daughters Susanna, Mary, Sarah, and Alice £100 each at 21, also £100 each in trust for use of said daughters. To my 4 sons John, Joseph, Samuel and William as tenants in common, plantation where I now dwell containing about 500 acres, also plantation in London grove containing 500 acres purchased of Saml. Smith, also plantation in Springfield containing about 270 acres. Executors to sell grist mill and 10 acres in New Castle Co., also tract near by containing 50 acres, also 11 acres with 90 acres adj. the meadow and the money to be divided among my 4 sons. To son John all my right interest in about 100 acres of land in Birmingham which descended to me in right of my former wife, his mother.
Exec: Two oldest sons John and Joseph, brother Levis and brother-in-law Humphrey Marshall.
Codicil authorizes Executors to sell such lands devised to sons as shall be necessary to pay obligations.
Wit: Joseph Ashbridge, E. Price, Nathan Sellers. Jonathan Morris, Joseph Williams to Codicil.
